The OPP have released video of a dramatic rescue in Muskoka. The footage was taken from an OPP helicopter, and also contains the audio exchange between the OPP call-taker, the victim who had fallen through the ice, and the crew of the helicopter.
The woman was rescued and flown to hospital suffering from hypothermia.
Police released the video to underscore the need for extreme caution for those planning to head out onto frozen waterways this weekend.
