A Blue-Green Algae Bloom’s been identified in Ten Mile Bay in Lake of Bays.

Many species of blue-green algae have the potential to produce toxins harmful to the health of humans and animals.

Swimming near an algae bloom is not advised due to the health risks.

The Township made the announcement Tuesday and the situation is being monitored.
