Bracebridge OPP have lifted a shelter-in-place that was issued yesterday evening.
While residents in the area of Beatrice Townline Road just north of Bracebridge are able to resume regular activities, police say that they are encouraging everyone to stay alert and report any suspicious activity.
The OPP issued the order was issued after a person who was considered armed and potentially dangerous was reported.
While the individual has not been located, police say there is no immediate threat to public safety.
The shelter-in-place order was issued at around 9:30 Friday night, after police received reports of an armed person in distress. The order was lifted by 3 am this morning.
