Explore simple choices to reduce our carbon footprints at the Active Living Centre in Huntsville on Saturday, April 20th.
Four workshops, Heat, Eat, Go, Grow, (choose two) will feature panelists sharing expertise and personal experiences.
HEAT will explore heating and cooling with heat pumps and building/retrofitting with low carbon materials. Panelists: Audrey Bayens and Melinda Zytaruk
EAT will explore why sourcing food locally makes a difference and how to include more plant-based eating in our diet. Panelists: Colin Sober-Williams and Justine Brown.
GROW will explore the benefits of naturalizing our shorelines and why sourcing and planting native species matters. Panelists: Rebecca Willison, Laura Thomas, Tamsen Tillson.
GO will explore EV vehicles including myths and truths about their use and function. It will also share a vision for a more active transportation network throughout our region. Panelists: Steve Lapp and Gordon Laxer.
In addition to these expert panelists, we will hear from local residents sharing their stories as they navigate the world of greener choices!
