A new Environmental Compliance Approval for a waste disposal site has been proposed in Gravenhurst.
The proposal for a Waste Disposal Site that would store material, process soil material through a soil washing plant for blending with pit sands and transfer of non-hazardous contaminated soil washing residue to approved soil treatment facilities at 1490 Winhara Road in Gravenhurst is nearing the end of its comment period.
The proposed soil management facility is located on an aggregate resources act licenced sand pit.

The proponent is Lionston Hospitality Inc., as general partner for and on behalf of Terranevo Soil Resources Limited Partnership out of Vaughan.
If it moves forward, the hours of operation would be Monday to Friday (7am to 7pm ) and Saturday (7am to 3pm) and closed on statutory holidays.
The proposal was posted January 31st as part of the Province’s Environmental Compliance Approval Process.
