Residing in Novar, Kirk, at a very young age, learned how to play music with his mom with her old guitar. She taught him how to play and sing some of the old classics like Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash and Charlie Pride. He has played over the years with many different country bands in the region and currently helps lead worship at his local church.
