The Save South Muskoka Hospital Committee (SSMHC) is planning a rally in Bracebridge in support of Doctors working on changing the proposed Hospital Redevelopment Plan.

The committee encourages Muskoka residents to come out that day and hear from their speakers and show support.

The rally will take place at Memorial Park, in Bracebridge at 1 pm on Sunday June 23rd, 2024.

The Save South Muskoka Hospital Committee is a grassroots group of volunteers that was formed in response to the redevelopment proposal put forth by Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare (MACH), in January 2024.

“Our group is deeply concerned about the reduction in vital services being proposed for South Muskoka Memorial Hospital, and was formed to bring together community members, to take all necessary steps to protect our hospital from a significant reduction in services. As of May 8th, 2024, we are officially a registered not-for-profit corporation,” states the group’s latest release.
