Half load restrictions are now in place on some local roads.
They kicked in Friday in Muskoka Lakes, while the weight limits went into place today in Huntsville and Gravenhurst.
The restrictions place limits on the weight of heavy trucks that can use the roads during the spring thaw.
This prevents damage to the road bed as frost leaves the ground.
