Taxes in Orillia will be rising by less than two percent next year.
City council has okayed a budget with a 1.73 percent increase.
Nearly ten million will go to the county to provide social services and over nine million will be paid to the OPP for policing.
Other multi-million dollar projects include the reconstruction of the Brian Orser arena, and work on several major roads.
