The death of an 11 year old boy near Lindsay, has led to the creation of an online petition, requesting an Amber Alert system be created for missing autistic and vulnerable children.
The petition was created by a Hamilton woman, after OPP divers located the body of 11-year-old Draven Graham in the Scugog River on Monday, just a day after he was reported missing.
Police said Draven was autistic, had a sensory irritation to touch, limited verbal skills and would not answer to his name.
The petition on Change.org calls for the creation of the “Draven Alert”, which could be used for missing children who have ASD or other special needs.
So far, over 45-thousand people have signed it.
Currently in Ontario, Amber Alerts are ONLY issued if a child is believed to have been abducted.

A GoFundMe account has also been set up to help cover Draven’s funeral costs and it can be found by clicking here.
