Police have charged a Bracebridge man in the collision that claimed the life of Rosseau Lake College’s Head of School Robert Carreau.
OPP continue to investigate the collision which involved a silver four-door SUV on Highway 141 west of Rosseau Monday at 6:30 am.
Police say the SUV had been travelling westbound when it collided and fatally injured the 43-year-old.
56-year-old Mark Jensen of Bracebridge has been charged with Operation Causing Death and Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).
He’s set to appear in Parry Sound court December 3rd.
His driver’s license has been suspended for 90 days and the vehicle he was driving has been seized for further investigation.
UPDATE: The Parry Sound Court Office says Jensen was charged with impaired driving and Over 80 back in 2009, but was later acquitted of those charges in 2011.
