The Province is preparing to respond safely to Covid-19 cases that emerge in the school system this fall.
Today Premier Doug Ford announced the launch of a voluntary interactive Covid screening tool for students, parents and teachers.
“It’s now available on our website at Ontario.ca/covid19,” said Ford. “Please use this tool to help with screening your child for symptoms before they go to school every day.”
Ford says if people have even mild symptoms, they should use the screening tool and stay home if they feel sick.
The new tool can be found by clicking here.
A new daily case tracker is also set up for childcare centres and schools.
Education Minister Stephen Lecce says whatever path the virus takes this fall, the government will be ready.
Ontario has launched a new, voluntary screening tool to help students and staff assess their #COVID19 symptoms and risk factors before going to school. This is another layer of prevention to help our schools reopen safely. #KeepingKidsSafehttps://t.co/TbCijBaVRY pic.twitter.com/x3TO2Mjliv
