Federal Conservative Leader Erin O’Toole and his family are in self-isolation and being tested for Covid-19 after one of his staff members tested positive for the virus.
During the leadership campaign, the staff member had been travelling with O’Toole.
The leader hasn’t shown symptoms and the testing is being done out of an abundance of caution.
In the meantime, O’Toole’s office is contacting everyone who he has had contact with recently.
Other staff who had been travelling with him are also being tested and are in self-isolation
The Conservative leader says the health and safety of his family and all Canadians is his top priority.
