Expect to see some tree trimming start soon in Gravenhurst.
Elexicon Energy has contracted Davey Tree Canada to perform tree trimming, to clear vegetation back from overhead lines in the urban areas of town.
This program is a regulatory mandate from the Ontario Energy Board (OEB); overhead lines must be pruned on a 3-year cycle.
Work is to take place and be completed between December 12 to May 31, 2020.
This work will involve pruning municipal and privately owned trees. There is no cost to the owner for our work, and no one should be burdened with tasks (such as property clean-up) as a result of this work.
Contractors will deliver general notification door hangers to residents in the area before they start working.
