Project Porchlight Happens December 4th In Huntsville

Huntsville | by Matt Sitler
It happens Wednesday, December 4th starting at 6 pm....

The Huntsville Lake of Bays Fire Department is ramping up for the 31st annual Project Porchlight Food Drive.

It happens Wednesday, December 4th starting at 6 pm.

It's an evening when the flashing lights and wailing sirens means something to feel good about as fire trucks, ambulances and police cruisers go door to door collecting healthy non-perishable food items.

You are asked to leave your porch light on and firefighters along with Santa and other volunteers will be by to pick up your food donation.

Bags to pack your food donations are available at various food stores.

You can also drop food donations off at:

• Huntsville Fire Hall Station #1; 1 Payne Drive

• The Salvation Army in Huntsville; 4 Mary Street E.

• Port Sydney Fire Hall; 387 South Mary Lake Road

• Lake of Bays Fire Halls, 1007 Limberlost Rd., 1230 Fox Point Rd. and 12 University St., Baysville.
