Gravenhurst Mayor assures residents the train station won't be going anywhere

It's a designated historic building and a number of its features have heritage significance and are protected.

The Town of Gravenhurst is assuring residents the future of the Gravenhurst Train Station will be thoroughly examined.

Mayor Paul Kelly says the station won't be going anywhere. 

It's a designated historic building and a number of its features have heritage significance and are protected. 

Kelly says the Town will be reaching out to residents to get their feelings on what should be done with the property.

At a November 19th meeting, Council reviewed recommendations after a Request for Proposal went out for options to fill the current vacancy at the station, which is still owned by the Town.
