Parry Sound-Muskoka MPP wants Feds to compensate dairy sector for concessions made trade at bargaining table...

Parry Sound-Muskoka’s MPP wants to remind you that “good things grow in Ontario”

Norm Miller stopped by the Rosseau Pumpkin Festival and Farmers Market this past weekend to highlight the recent US-Mexico-Canada trade agreement’s negative impacts on the dairy industry.

Miller says concessions made at the bargaining table by the Federal government are affecting Canada’s dairy, poultry and egg farmers.

He says the Feds should keep to their word and compensate Ontario’s supply managed farmers for allowing the US to have greater access to Canada’s market.

Supply managed agriculture alone accounts for 192,000 jobs throughout rural Ontario.
