Brown Taking Another Stab at Politics

Peel Region | by Ken Hashizume
The former Ontario PC leader is running to become Chair of Peel Region.

Patrick Brown is attempting to get back into politics.

The former Ontario PC leader officially filed his nomination papers on Tuesday to run for the Chair of the Regional Municipality of Peel in the October municipal election.

This is Brown's first attempt at municipal politics since he was first elected as Councillor for the City of Barrie in 2000.

Brown later was elected as a federal MP before winning the Ontario PC leadership in 2015.

That ended in February of this year when he was accused by two women of sexual misconduct, allegations that he has denied and has never been proven in a court of law.

Brown plans to put out a tell-all book about his ordeal.
